A Cinderella Story, a contemporary reworking of the fairytale with Hilary Duff as the princess, is aimed at the most girlish of the pubescent and teenaged femme set.

Clearly, I'm not a member of that group so I'm being stingy with the rating because this undistinguished movie does not compare favourably with others in its genre, especially Clueless, Mean Girls and Freaky Friday.
