The title of The Banger Sisters, a femme buddy movie about two women's fond memories of their past life of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll, really is as rude as it sounds.
The reference is to banging, as in sexual intercourse. The "sisters" of the story are former best friends who used to be super-groupies. They were together in the late '60s, spreading their free love around the world of popular music, proud of the nickname bestowed upon them by Frank Zappa.
