Audiences will howl at Wolf
In the opening scene of Brotherhood of the Wolf, a young woman runs through a hillside meadow.

You may chuckle at the sight, but you soon learn these hills are alive, not with the sound of music, but rather the sounds of howling and growling.

Wolf sinks its teeth in
Brotherhood Of The Wolf is such a bizarre, stylish and genre-defying film that you can't help but watch, even when bones crunch and blood spurts.

Shot in French under the title Le Pacte Des Loups and playing here with English subtitles, director Christophe Gans' effort is a jumble of horror, romance, swashbuckling action, class war and socio-political rant set in 18th-century, pre-Revolution France. It played in last fall's Toronto filmfest.
