A yacht-load of William Randolph Hearst's friends spent a weekend together on the water in 1924. Not everybody came back alive.
Just what happened on that boat trip has been the subject of conjecture and speculation for a long time. Among the guests on the boat were the actor Charlie Chaplin, Hearst's mistress Marion Davies, gossip columnist Louella Parsons, a studio exec, his mistress, a couple of showgirls and British novelist Elinor Glyn.
