There are no birds in The Cuckoo, the latest film from Russia's Alexander Rogozhkin.
The Cuckoo, in this case, is Veiko, a World War II sniper from the Finnish army (Ville Haapasalo). He is condemned by being shackled to a rock dressed in a German uniform so he will be picked off by Russian soliders.
