Screen iceberg Catherine Deneuve is not normally associated with high hilarity, but for her role in the ensemble comedy, 8 Women, all bets are off.
Having discovered what he calls a "really stupid play" from the 1960s, director Francois Ozon turned that stupid play into a very funny movie and upped the ante on the humour front by casting a handful of France's most revered actresses. In addition to Deneuve, the film stars Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant, Emmanuelle Beart, Danielle Darrieux, Virginie Ledoyen, Ludivine Sagnier and Firmine Richard.
