The filmmakers behind the Canadian "art" film Eve have the audacity to invoke comparisons to Godfrey Reggio's Qatsi trilogy and Ron Fricke's Baraka in their promo pitch.
The only connection Eve has with these superb films is that that they are all documentaries operating free of dialogue, conventional characters and linear stories. Instead, in each case, the visuals, the editing and the music drive the film as the director attempts to explore powerful, universal themes about life on Planet Earth.
