Movie Review: Femme Fatale

Film noir makes Fatale mistake
Let's give Brian De Palma the benefit of the doubt and say he meant Femme Fatale to be an outrageous sex comedy that tips its hat to film noir.

His heroine Laure Ash (Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) is a thief whose statuesque body is a weapon of deceit and danger. It seems no one is immune to her seductive wiles. Bisexual Bond-ing
Brian De Palma's Femme Fatale is a big, juicy, sexy thriller.

As the kind of overwrought heist flick that few other directors have the guts or gumption to direct, De Palma's loopy effort is a treat for fans who like their sex & violence delivered with a lot of imagination and a wicked sense of humour.
