Errol Morris' masterful new documentary, The Fog Of War, is specifically about the life and times of Robert S. McNamara, the legendary U.S. secretary of defence in both the John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson administrations.
McNamara also spent time running Ford and likes to take credit for introducing seat belts and other safety features. But he was a hawkish war-monger who played a role in a raid on Tokyo that killed 100,000 people in a single night, was active in the Cuban Missile Crisis and is considered the architect of America's biggest folly, the Vietnam War.
