Fools Die Hard is a nicely made -- if odd -- first effort from filmmaker and actor James Purcell.
The film is based on a play of the same name and is suitably stagey to look at. Shot in black and white and set in the '50s, Fools Die Hard is a James Dean-ish, noir project that takes place almost entirely in a diner.
