Friday Night Lights is a lousy name for a very good movie.
Relax, I know the title is based on investigative journalist H.G. Bissinger's 1990 book, Friday Night Lights: A Town, A Team And A Dream, acclaimed by Sports Illustrated as one of the top five greatest sports stories in American history. But, even shortened for the big screen, it still sounds lame.
