Less a traditional movie than a lyrical photo essay of fictional characters in a world so real it's almost surreal, George Washington deserves to be seen simply because it's not quite like anything that's come before.
Running tonight through Monday night at the Metro Cinema in the Citadel's Zeidler Hall, George Washington revolves around a racially mixed group of kids and their families in a poor southern U.S. town, where time moves so slowly it seems in danger of stopping completely.
