Left Behind: The Movie already ranks as a miracle project, firstly because it is inspired by The Bible's Book of Revelation, and secondly because it has defied Hollywood's marketing credo and has become a success by breaking rules.

Filmed in the Toronto area (with a few scenes shot in Israel), the $17 million Canadian-made Left Behind opens across the country today after four months on best-seller lists as a VHS video and DVD release. That is extremely rare, and, say Hollywood pundits, totally backwards.
