Big cars, gangsters who don't mean any real harm, racism overcome through humour, and James Brown. These are the elements that make up "Liberty Heights," Barry Levinson's latest movie.
The story takes place in 1945 in Baltimore when integration is beginning and values are changing. The two main characters, Van (Adrian Brody) and Ben ( Ben Foster), are struggling to balance their parents' values and their desire for relationships with "inappropriate" members of the opposite sex.
