Magnifico is the story of a child whose good heart changes the lives of those around him. It has lugubrious written all over it, this movie, but it's a rare glimpse into another world.

A newborn is named Magnifico by his hopeful father. The child is the youngest in a poor family. By age nine, Magnifico does not appear to have what it takes to live up to his name. All he has is a loving nature and great courage.
