Funny & funnier
15 reasons why Me, Myself & Irene works
By LIZ BRAUN

(1) Me, Myself and Irene is the newest Farrelly Brothers film.

(2) It stars Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger.

(3) If you liked other Farrelly films, such as Dumb & Dumber or There's Something About Mary, you will like this one.

(4) If you do not like the Farrelly Brothers movies, turn the page now.

(5) If you intend to see Me, Myself & Irene, see it soon, before your friends ruin it for you by telling you all the jokes and gags in advance.

(6) Jim Carrey plays a double role here as a mild-mannered motorcycle cop and family man, and a sex-crazed bad guy prone to violence.

(7) Renee Zellweger plays a woman caught in a jam who gets Carrey's character (bad and good) protecting her. Or trying to get her into the sack. Whatever.

(8) Anthony Anderson, Mongo Brownlee and Jerod Mixon portray Carrey's triplet sons. These actors steal every scene they are in. They get to deliver dialogue that is excruciatingly funny.

(9) Members of PETA might not wish to see this movie.

(10) Persons concerned that such terms as schizophrenia or multiple-personality disorder are misused in this movie should be assured that Jim Carrey, and not mental illness, is the joke here.

(11) Members of La Leche League might not wish to see this movie.

(12) Persons averse to hearing very bad language might not wish to see this movie.

(13) The parents of teenagers younger than 18 might wish to think twice before sneaking their kid into this one.

(14) Be sure to use the facilities before you see this film so that you (a) won't have to miss any of the laughs by rushing off to the loo, and (b) won't embarrass yourself by wetting your pants laughing.

(15) Some men find Me, Myself & Irene much funnier than There's Something About Mary.

Some women like There's Something About Mary better. Others simply recognize a Farrelly Brothers movie when they see one, and never look a gift horse in the mouth.

(This film is rated R)
