Northfork is an inventive, beautifully shot film about life and death in America. It concerns a small Montana town that is about to be drowned forever with the creation of a massive new dam. Well, actually, Northfork concerns the way progress almost always means the destruction of what came before.

On the other hand, you could argue that the movie is about organized religion, and not in a good way. Northfork works in mysterious ways, that's for sure, and it's an interesting mix of magic realism and history.
