There's something distinctly melancholy about Disney's Winnie The Pooh cartoons that seems out-of-place for its kiddie audience.
Maybe it's because they've always seemed much slower-paced and more character-driven than most kids' cartoons. Or maybe it's because of the slightly quavering, mature-sounding voices of Pooh and Piglet. Or maybe it's because Eeyore's such a manic depressive stick-in-the-mud.
