Promising Quebec director Louis Belanger won the prestigious Claude Jutra Award at Canada's Genie Awards for his surprise first film, Post Mortem.

 Belanger's effort also took home three other Genies. Then it won five Jutra Awards in the separate (and separatist) Quebec film awards.
