It's no stretch to imagine a movie such as Red Planet blasting Val Kilmer off on a mission to Mars, given the strong possibility that the erratic star may have originated there.
Regardless (and just kidding ... maybe), the combustible Kilmer is surprisingly subdued in this new sci-fi thriller about astronauts facing disaster and terror on the famed red planet.
