Movie Review: Saving Silverman

Silverman flashes with laughs
Like Emeril in reverse, Saving Silverman is a movie that looks for the lowest common denominator in lamebrain humour - and then kicks it down a notch.

But this flick's profound dumbness is saved by the fact that, a) it doesn't pretend to be anything but a Dr. Seuss story for the college kegger set, b) there are a number of laugh-out-loud moments wedged in between the gay jokes, masturbation humour and poop pranks, and c) it has a cameo by Neil Diamond, a.k.a. the coolest man in showbiz.

Zahn can't save Silverman
The comedy art of Zahn is Steve Zahn's ability to find his inner self-deprecation and reveal it in a charming way.
