PLOT: A needy, egotistical director pushes her needy, egotistical actors in order to wring from them the emotion she needs for a crucial sex scene. Sometimes absurd, but otherwise we're not sure why this is interesting.

Sex Is Comedy is a film by Catherine Breillat, the woman behind Fat Girl -- a film initially banned in Ontario -- and, currently, Anatomy Of Hell, a film about vaginas and whatnot that opens today and is reviewed above. We have seen neither of those films, it should be said.
