Looking for a little something from the lunatic fringe? You might consider Sordid Lives, a family tale that puts the 'fun' in dysfunctional. Sordid Lives is a high camp undertaking about trash Texans gathering for a funeral.
The family matriarch has died in a bizarre accident involving someone else's husband. Those left behind to cry and gossip include several large, opinionated women (Delta Burke, Bonnie Bedelia, Ann Walker), the attractive double-amputee G.W. (Beau Bridges), a singer and former convict (Olivia Newton-John), the son desperate to tell his family he's gay (Kirk Geiger) and Uncle Brother Boy (Leslie Jordan), a Tammy Wynette devotee who has been institutionalized for 20 some years. Last but not least is sister Sissy (Beth Grant), in whose house much of the action takes place.
