Sugar & Spice starts off with great promise as a post-modern ironic satire about high school cheerleaders.
The top end is loaded with caustic comments on the American Dream gone bad. The made-in-Minnesota movie bursts with stereotypes gone wonky. It's played for inside laughs, like Heathers, Clueless or Fast Times At Ridgemont High.
