There are two meanings to the title of French writer-director Agnes Jaoui's new film. It's about the rewards of opening up to relationships with people outside your normal circle -- 'tasting' others -- and it's about how we judge the aesthetic of other people and try to impose ours upon them.
This is a witty romantic comedy filled with characters who tend to melancholia and whose preconceptions about others handicap their search for happiness.
