So here it is. Treasure Planet is a visual extravaganza that embellishes the thrilling events of the original tale with futuristic creatures and machines. This is a wild, hyperactive adventure story, populated with wonderfully imaginative alien hybrids -- cycloptic, squishy, misshapen pirates, a cat-like sea captain, a dog-like professor, a pink blob of a house pet who can morph into anything. There's even a robot who speaks with Martin Short's voice.
