There is little doubt Finding Nemo is swimming ahead in the Oscar race for the best animated feature film. But The Triplets Of Belleville deserves just as much attention and should be nominated, too.

This Canada-France-Belgium co-production is not only an alternative in animation style, story point-of-view and artistic daring, it is a sensational counterpoint to everything animation means as family entertainment in Hollywood.
