For rabid fans of Tupac Shakur, Tupac: Resurrection offers little information that's new. For everybody else, this documentary about the short life and brutal death of the rap star is mostly fascinating.
Tupac: Resurrection has this weirdness -- it is narrated by Shakur, and he's been dead for seven years. This beyond-the-grave effect was achieved through the use of many old interviews and conversations, reworked to let Shakur tell his life story in his own words. There are too many mystical shots of scudding clouds and other eternal-like images, but that can be overlooked. This kid spoke a lot about his own death while he was still alive.
