Movie Review: Tuxedo

This Tuxedo fits Jackie
Fast-moving (but no Rumble In The Bronx), silly, contrived and lighter than air, The Tuxedo is the latest odd tweaking of Jackie Chan's screen persona for the benefit of North American audiences.

The result will fully satisfy nobody -- least of all fans of the old Hong Kong Jackie. But if it's not all that Jackie can be, it's an amusing 90 minutes of family-oriented action (there's one cartoonish attempted seduction of Jackie by some floozy that may account for the PG-rating, otherwise it's as clean as Jennifer Love Hewitt's Neutragena-ed face).

The tux just sew sew
In the slapstick comedy The Tuxedo, Jackie Chan turns into a secret agent, but he's more Maxwell Smart than James Bond.

That's supposed to be the joke in The Tuxedo, but it's one that quickly wears thin.
