In Twisted, as you may already know from the trailers, Ashley Judd is a troubled detective whose mentor is a wizened black cop with a tendency to shout. She may or may not be a serial killer. And if she isn't, it may be her shifty-eyed partner. Or somebody else.

I found it sleazy and ludicrous and felt the identity of the killer was far too obvious far too soon. In the Cut is looking better with the arrival of Ashley Judd's Twisted, a film whose title is the only truthful thing.
