There is nothing flashy or too obvious about Two Family House, Raymond De Felitta's prize winner from both Sundance and the Floating Film Festival.
That is one of the strengths of this sly and charming American tale, which introduces us to a 1950s Staten Island family struggling with a romantic entanglement that is loaded with race and social caste issues.
