Whatever Happened To Harold Smith? is one of those rosy exercises in nostalgia wherein it helps not to have been there.

In this case it's the '70s, at the precise flashpoint between disco and punk. Not that the dividing line was ever that precise, but it's key to this somewhat-forced bit of British whimsy about an office lad and wannabe-Travolta who falls for a girl who cares more about the Sex Pistols than the Bee Gees.
