California turntablist DJ Shadow has released a sampling of his material for his new album in the form of "3 Freaks."
According to Billboard.com, the single's video can be downloaded from Shadow's official website.
The single is a departure from Shadow's usual moody, sample-laden soundscape and veers toward commerical hip-hop by featuring underground rappers Keak Da Sneak and Turf Talk in the "Freaks" video.
The follow-up to 2002's "The Private Press" has no firm release date or title but Shadow is scheduled to play in the U.K's Wireless Festival to be held June 23 in London and June 24 in Leeds.
