Michael Jackson's death is being investigated as a homicide, according to TMZ.com - the celebrity gossip site that first broke the death of the iconic musician.
Several law enforcement sources have told the site the Los Angeles Police Department is focusing the probe on Dr. Conrad Murray.
There is evidence the anesthetic Propofol was the leading cause in Jackson's death, the sources told the site, and that Murray has administered the drug.
Propofol is a short-acting intravenous sedative.
Murray's lawyer has not confirmed or denied the allegation.
"And we've learned the LAPD has had 'multiple conversations' with the L.A. County District Attorney's office, although the case has not been formally presented to the D.A.," an update on the site today read.
