Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein was set to check into rehab just days after he was found dead at his New York City apartment from a suspected drug overdose, according to U.S. reports.
The 36 year old was found in his lower Manhattan home on Friday with drug paraphernalia nearby, according to the New York Post.
Reports suggest Goldstein - who had battled an addiction to crack cocaine in his 20s - had suffered a relapse after developing a dependency on anxiety medication following a near-fatal plane crash with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker in South Carolina last September.
According to the newspaper, Goldstein's recovery sponsor staged an intervention with the star on Thursday morning. The spinner reportedly vowed to check into a rehab clinic in California after his scheduled set at The Palms Casino Resort the following day.
An initial autopsy completed on Saturday proved inconclusive and officials have ordered more toxicology tests to help determine Goldstein's cause of death.
