Liam Gallagher: 'Oasis is over'

Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has ruled out a reconciliation with his guitarist brother Noel, insisting: "It's over".

Noel quit the band on Friday evening after a backstage fight between the pair at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, France.

They axed the two remaining dates on their tour - in Konstanz, Germany, and Milan, Italy - and Noel returned to the U.K. while Liam fled to Lake Como, Italy for a break with his wife Nicole Appleton.

Liam has now put an end to rumours the band will carry on without Noel, reportedly telling a hotel waiter in Lake Como there is "no way" the brothers will reconcile.

Vincenzo Della Corte tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "I had to ask him (Liam) what the future was and he said it was all over and there was no way he would get back with Noel.

"He said that Noel had his style of music and he had his and they would be going their separate ways.

"(Liam's party) were all having a good time and he didn't seem at all bothered about the fact he had caused one of the world's biggest bands to break up."
