Brown's crew take aim at Rihanna

Chris Brown's confidantes have taken to the internet to defend the R&B star against allegations his ex-girlfriend Rihanna made in an explosive TV interview.

The Umbrella singer's tense sit down with broadcaster Diane Sawyer, which aired on Friday night, infuriated Brown's dancers, and aides don't like what they saw.

A teary-eyed Rihanna spoke candidly for the first time about Brown's attack on her in February, claiming her ex became violent towards her after she quizzed him about a text he had received from a mystery woman.

The singer told Sawyer Brown "blacked out" as his punches rained down on her and she added, "It wasn't the same person that says I love you. It was not those... eyes. He had no soul in his eyes - just blank."

Brown's associates have taken issue with the star's comments in the 20/20 news special, and have taken to Twitter.com in an effort to defend the Kiss Kiss singer, accusing Rihanna of lying for the cameras.

One dancer 'tweeted', "I wish dancers can speak about things that really go on! Let me just say, Chris Brown was pushed to the extreme!"

Another confidante added, "Shame on Rihanna."

Brown pleaded guilty to beating Rihanna and recently started a five-year community service sentence. He was also ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from his ex for the next five years.
