Rockers The Go-Go's are to split for good - the band has announced its farewell tour.
The all-female line-up, which launched the career of singer Belinda Carlisle, was formed in 1978.
The group originally split in 1985, before reuniting in the 1990s and touring regularly since 1999.
But now the five-piece will hang up their microphones altogether - Carlisle has announced on her Facebook.com page that they are planning a farewell tour, named 'Happily Ever After'.
In a post on the social networking site, the singer writes, "30 years after making music history, the Go-Go's to say goodbye." She then detailed the series of concerts, which will be held across the U.S. in July.
