Former Edmonton Oiler Mike Comrie and actress Hilary Duff said “I do” at sunset on Saturday, according to magazine reports.

OK! Magazine reported on its website that Duff’s representative said Comrie and Duff were married in front of 100 close friends and family at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif. — the same location late U.S. president John. F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline, stayed for their honeymoon.

It was reported Duff wore a mermaid Vera Wang wedding dress and was escorted down the aisle by her mother, Susan Duff. Sister Haylie was the maid of honour.

A source told In Touch Weekly the couple chose the location due to its “sense of Old Hollywood glamour and romantic style.”

Duff, 22, has been wearing her $1-million engagement ring since February, when the couple announced their engagement after a trip to Hawaii.

In Touch Weekly said Duff has been working out six days a week with a personal trainer in preparation for the wedding, as well as taking dance lessons with Comrie, 29.

Edmonton-born Comrie was declared a free agent in July after the 2009-10 NHL season with the Oilers.

Last November, Comrie became sick with the viral disease mononucleosis, and was placed on the long-term injury reserve until February.

Duff made her acting debut with the TV show Lizzie McGuire. Duff branched out to the music industry in 2003 with the album Metamorphosis. Her latest release was Dignity, in 2007. She has also launched a clothing line and perfume collections.
