Lavigne hampered by strep throat

Avril Lavigne has been diagnosed with a throat infection, but she's refusing to let the illness halt work on her upcoming album.
The singer is currently recording material for a follow-up to 2007's The Best Damn Thing and was dealt a setback last week when doctors confirmed she has been struck down with the streptococcus virus.
But Lavigne is determined to battle through the illness - she posted a photo of herself wearing a medical face mask on her Twitter.com page, telling fans, "In the studio with (music producer) AlexDaKid, I've got strep throat, but I ain't stopping my thing!"
