Avril’s curses shock baseball fans

Avril Lavigne (WENN.COM)

Baseball bosses at the Tampa Bay Rays have apologized to fans after Avril Lavigne staged a profanity-laden performance at a game over the weekend, stating they were "extremely disappointed" by her foul mouth.

The pop star took the stage in Florida on Saturday to perform a short set as part of the team's summer concert series, but was left angered when sound problems hindered the beginning of her gig.

The frustrated Sk8er Boi hitmaker finally unleashed on the technicians as 25,000 fans looked on in disbelief.

A Rays spokesman has since issued a statement which reads, "The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers, and we are extremely disappointed... It is not consistent with the atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for."
