Winehouse ex to stand trial

Amy Winehouse’s former boyfriend Reg Traviss is to stand trial over allegations of rape.

The British filmmaker, who was dating Winehouse at the time of her death a year ago, was arrested in April on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman in the early hours of December 31.

He was charged with two counts of rape last month and District Judge Stephanie Wickham ordered him to face trial during a hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Tuesday.

Judge Wickham renewed his bail but the 35-year-old must appear at Southwark Crown Court on September 12.
