Pumpkins are cropping up across Canada this fall.

Chrome-domed singer-guitarist Billy Corgan and his latest incarnation of Smashing Pumpkins have just confirmed a six-pack of shows north of the border in October.

The Chicago alt-rockers kick off their visit Oct. 2 in Winnipeg. They’ll work their way west to Vancouver, then head east later in the month for a pair of shows in Toronto and Montreal. See below for a full list of dates and locations.

Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday Aug. 24 at Ticketmaster and will set you back somewhere between $40 and $95, depending on the city, venue and seating.

Notorious control-freak Corgan is the sole original member of the acclaimed ’90s alt-rock outfit, whose hits included Today, Disarm and 1979. The band recently released the album Oceania, a return to form that revisits many of the group’s sonic hallmarks — distorted guitars, busy drumming, proggy psychedelia — but invests them with Corgan’s newfound optimism.

Smashing Pumpkins Canadian dates:

Oct. 2 | Winnipeg | MTC Centre

Oct. 4 | Calgary | Saddledome

Oct. 5 | Edmonton | Rexall Place

Oct. 7 | Vancouver | Rogers Arena

Oct. 25 | Toronto | Air Canada Centre
