Alanis Morissette is convinced the paparazzi serve a useful purpose in Hollywood as they "force transparency" on celebrities.
The Ironic singer is adamant stars should not be wary of the snappers who follow them unless they have something to hide.
She tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "I actually like the paparazzi. They're forcing transparency... What are we afraid of? Our relationships being dysfunctional?"
