A representative for David Beckham and his wife Victoria has denied the couple is planning to adopt a child.

The soccer ace and his singer-turned-fashion designer wife already have a brood of four after daughter Harper, who was born last July, added a girl to their three boys; Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Reports published in an Australian magazine suggested the couple was desperate to add another tot to the family, and were considering giving an orphan a home.

But a spokesperson for the Beckhams has refuted the claims, telling Britain's Daily Mirror, "David and Victoria have huge respect for people that choose to adopt but this is untrue. They continue to focus on raising their own four children."
