Art Garfunkel has scrapped the remainder of his comeback tour due to ongoing voice problems.
The singer/songwriter was diagnosed with vocal paresis in 2010, prompting Simon & Garfunkel to pull the plug on a planned reunion tour as the star embarked on a lengthy silence.
He returned to the stage in Europe this summer but it appears his comeback was premature, and after scrapping three dates in Sweden last week, he has decided he won't sing again this year.
A statement from the Scarborough Fair singer reads: "I had such hopes of being finally ready to perform. How painful to try and not be quite yet there."
He was scheduled to perform six U.S. dates this month and three more in November and December.
