Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks has lashed out at American Idol judge Nicki Minaj for cursing out Maraih Carey during a recent audition taping, insisting she would have attacked the Starships hitmaker for her insolence.
TMZ.com leaked a video of the hip-hop diva hurling abuse at Carey during an altercation over a hopeful's performance at the Charlotte, North Carolina auditions recently - and Nicks has now weighed in on the Idol feud.
The veteran singer, who served as a guest mentor on last season's show, tells TheDaily.com that she would not have tolerated Minaj's smack talk.
She reveals, "How dare this little girl!... If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there... I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it (sic)."
But Nicks insists her remarks should not be confused for her interest in becoming a future judge on the show.
She exclaims, "If you stick me in the middle of a burning fire, I don't think I'd like it very much."
