Beliebers got #bieberforcrystal trending nation-wide, sparking a visit from pop star Justin Bieber with a fan in an Edmonton hospital.

According to posts on Facebook and Twitter, Crystal Montgomery is at the Cross Cancer Institute in treatment for osteosarcoma (a cancerous bone tumor).

About 11:15 a.m. Monday, this tweet showed up on Bieber's Twitter feed.

Meanwhile, rumours were swirling that the teen idol spent the day at the West Edmonton Mall waterpark.

Officials from WEM said there were two exclusive events on Friday and Saturday night, but could not confirm if Biebs was the one soaking it up.
