Singer Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z have lost their bid to trademark the name of their baby girl Blue Ivy.
The music supercouple welcomed its first child in January and subsequently filed papers to own and protect the rights to its daughter's much-talked about name.
However, last week the pair's request was rejected by a U.S. judge since bosses at a party planning firm in Boston, Massachusetts, Blue Ivy Events, have been operating under the moniker since 2009.
According to MyFoxBoston.com, the Single Ladies hitmaker was hoping to launch her own children's line in the tot's name.
