Madonna was booed onstage during a concert at the weekend when she openly endorsed U.S. President Barack Obama and appealed to her fans to vote for him.
The Like A Virgin hitmaker is no stranger to controversy on her MDNA tour, exposing her breast and backside in recent shows, but her audience was not amused when turned political during her gig in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday.
She asked concert-goers, "Who's registered to vote?... I don't care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama."
Several fans booed the star before walking out of the concert, prompting the singer to attempt to recover, adding "Seriously, I don't care who you vote for... Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote."
